Why UK Trainers?
Many companies, and indeed countries, believe that all 'Western' driver trainers are the same. Nothing could be further from the truth. The UK has a stringent process for approving and qualifying learner driving instructors. The process can take two years before being entered onto a register where the standards and performance will be monitored. This is followed by the corporate/fleet instructor who takes additional theory and practical exams to include one of several accredited advanced driving tests. This allows for a professional career path that includes advanced diplomas' and advanced instructor/examiner qualifications. By contrast, no such system or process exists in Australia or USA when it is relatively simple to 'qualify' as a learner driver instructor with no further or additional training or monitoring . There is no accredited qualification for advanced instructor or trainer in Australia or USA although many will promote themselves as such.
